Cross Country:  Optional practice today from 5:30 to 6:45 pm due to the parade at HS!  Congrats to Parker Brown (5th place) and Karinne Hamilton (10th place).  Both Autumn Sampson and Cam Borders had a personal best last night; Autumn improved by almost a minute and Cam by 40 seconds.  Way to go Speedy Raiders!!!           

Softball:   Please return jerseys, belts, and socks to Mr. Kimmel ASAP!   A few players remain.   

Girls’ Basketball: 6th & 7th Grade Practice from 3:45-4:30 pm.     8th Grade:  No practice due to the field trip. 

Boys’ Basketball:   The next Open Gym is TOMORROW (October 8)  from 3:30-5:30 pm! You must have a current physical to participate.   

Cheerleading:   No practices this week.  Next Practice:   Monday October 12 from 6-8 pm.  

Homecoming Dress Up Days:   TOMORROW is Skittle Day.   Dress in your favorite Skittle color!

Fact of the Day: Here are some wacky state laws:  In Alabama, you may drive the wrong way down a one way if you have lantern attached to your vehicle.  In Alaska, you cannot wake up a bear for a photo op.  In Arizona, if you are caught with soap theft, you must wash with all the soap until it is gone.  Lastly, in Arkansas, you may not sound your car horn after 9AM at any place of business that serves cold drinks or sandwiches.  That sounds like a BOOMER made that one up!!!
