Due to the dangerously low wind chills expected tomorrow morning, Iroquois West will have an E-Learning Day, tomorrow, Friday, January 23rd. Students attending programs outside the district will also NOT be in session. This includes, but is not limited to KACC, RAAC, SALT, MENTA, Cissna Park, Bryce Ash Grove, and Watseka. Decisions on extra-curricular events for Friday and Saturday will be made on Friday afternoon and will be communicated in a timely manner. Stay warm, stay safe, and GO RAIDERS!
Boys’ Basketball: 8th Grade Practice from 3:30-5:00 pm today.
Girls’ Volleyball: 7th and 8th Grade Games at Prairie Central tonight starting at 5:30 pm. Bus Time: 4:30 The game will be played at PC Upper Elementary School in Forrest due to gym roof damage at the Junior High. Good Luck!
Wrestling: The IW/Nash Wrestlers have a meet at Manteno today. IW Wrestlers will be dismissed from classes at 2:20 pm to go catch the 3:00 pm bus at Nash. Good Luck!
Cheerleading: No Practice today.
Scholastic Bowl: Practice today from 3:30-4:30 pm in Mrs. Wagner’s Room.
Club 40: Due to extreme cold temperatures forecasted for TOMORROW, our Club 40 bowling trip has been rescheduled for Friday February 6. Permission slips still need to be turned in ASAP. Also, let Mr. Ehmen know if you are not interested in attending this event so we can get accurate numbers. Thanks!!!
After-school Art Club: 8th grade Art Club will continue Tuesday January 27! 3:30-4:30 pm with Mrs. Sattler!

Thanks to Coach Pankey and the team for all of their hard work and dedication during the season. Congratulations to Coach Johnson, Coach Pankey, Coach Woods and our entire 8th Grade Team on winning the Iroquois County Championship last night 35-34 in OT! It is the sixth 8th grade County Championship in IWMS history and the latest was 2024. Our cheerleaders and sixth and seventh grade players did a great job of being our SIXTH MAN last night. Great energy and enthusiasm Raiders!
Boys’ Basketball: Congratulations to Coach Johnson, Coach Pankey, Coach Woods and our entire 8th Grade Team on winning the Iroquois County Championship last night 35-34 in OT! Teagan Read hit a game winning 3 point shot as time expired and our fans went crazy! It is the sixth 8th grade County Championship in IWMS history and the last one occurred in 2024.
