Girls’ Volleyball:   The first practice/open gym for 7th and 8th graders will be TODAY from 3:30-5:00 pm. Try-Outs will occur on Thursday and Friday (Dec. 18/19) from 3:30-5:00 pm at IWMS.   All players must have a current physical in order to participate!

Raider Rowdy Super Fans:   Mr. Kimmel was totaling up Raider Rowdy points yesterday, and asked me to give a shout out to Harper Leydens and Damien Rodriguez for being the super fans of the 2Q!  Each student attended ALL 10  home basketball games in the 2Q!  Thanks to Harper, Damien, and ALL of our student fans for your support!

Girls’ Basketball:   The 8th grade ladies lost to PBL in last night’s Regional championship, which unfortunately ended their season.  Keep your heads held high for having a 16-7 season record, finishing 3rd in the conference tournament, and for representing IWMS well in the classroom and on the court.   Congratulations to Kenzie Kimmel for being selected as one of the Regional Tournament Sportsmanship winners!

2027 DC Meeting There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday Dec. 10th at 5:30 pm for any 7th grade students and parents who would like information on the 2027 8th Grade Washington DC Trip.

Tape War:   Our Student Council will be having a tape war in the coming days. Yesterday during Exploratory you were sent an email to vote for a staff member that you would love to see “Taped to the Wall” as part of this event.   Please take a minute to vote sometime today if you forgot yesterday! Voting will close at 3:20 today. Here is the goal; Bring in rolls of tape (duct tape, scotch tape, masking tape, painters tape) and for every 50 rolls we collect the SOM nominees will be given a roll of duct tape to attempt to tape the chosen teacher to the wall. The tape is to be turned into your exploratory teachers in the provided bins. Collection ends on the 17th.

Student Council Holiday Party: Today is the last day to RSVP for the student council holiday party and sign up for the secret santa gift exchange if you would like to participate. Please make sure you have filled out the google form by 3:20 today. A member will be around to assign secret santa people tomorrow.

Boys’ Basketball:    The 7th graders lost to PC in the TCC Tournament on Saturday, while the 8th Grade defeated PBL to advance!       Today:  8th Grade TCC Tournament Game at Tri-Point Vs. Prairie Central at 6:45 pm.   There will be a shoot around after school from 3:30-4:30 and then the bus will leave at 5:20 pm.

Cheerleading:  Great job on Saturday at Pontiac!   The ladies are state qualifiers!

Girls’ Basketball:   The lady Raiders  defeated Nash 43-42 in an OT thriller on Friday night.  They advance to the Regional Championship tonight Vs. PBL  at 5:00 pm.   Students and fans…..remember there is a $5 admission fee since this is a tournament game.
