Boys’ Basketball: All three of our basketball teams lost at Nash last night. Practices for Today: 8th Grade 3:30-5:00 pm 7th Grade: 5:00-6:30 pm 6th Grade: 6:30-7:30 pm.
Girls’ Basketball: Today: No Practice Wednesday: Practice from 3:30-5:00 pm at IWHS. Ride the Gilman bus!
Cheerleading: Practice from 3:30-5:30 pm tonight at IWMS.
After-school Art Club: 6th Grade Art Club will begin TODAY!!
Dress Up Days: Today: Christmas Characters! Wednesday: Winter Wonderland!
2027 DC Meeting There will be an informational meeting on Dec. 10th at 5:30 pm for any 7th grade parents who would like information on the 2027 8th Grade Washington DC Trip. The company is offering a discount and lower payments for those who sign up in December.If you can't attend, but would like the information presented, please reach out to Mrs. Pankey.
Fact of the Day: Do you care that the image we picture in our heads of Santa Clause has been influenced by one product…Coca Cola. In 1931, Haddon Sundblom developed an ad for Coke that ran in the Saturday Evening Post. Previously, Santa was a slender figure decked out in green. Thanks to Coca Cola, we now have a plumber, jollier, and decked in red Santa Claus.

Girls’ Basketball: 8th Grade IESA Regional Game tonight Vs. Hoopeston Area at 5:45 pm. Good Luck Ladies! Students: since this is a tourney game, passes aren’t allowed and you will have to pay $5 if you attend. (IESA policy) 7th Grade girls basketball players DO NOT need to pay admission.

After-school Art Club: 6th Grade Art Club will begin on Tuesday December 2!
Food Pantry/PJ’s: Thank you to OVER 80 students (and a few teachers) for donating $1 to wear PJ’s on the Tuesday before break. The Student Council will donate this money to our local food pantry to help those in need! It was a great turnout for a great cause!

Fact of the Day: The first Thanksgiving was a three-day harvest feast in 1621, attended by 50 Pilgrims and 90 Wampanoag Indians. The first menu likely featured venison, duck, goose, lobster, and fish, but not pumpkin pie. Football on Thanksgiving started in 1876 with a Yale vs. Princeton game.

Prairie Central starting at 7:15 pm. Bus time is 5:45 pm. 8th Grade: Practice at IWHS from 3:30-5:00 pm. Ride the Gilman bus after school!
Cheerleading: Congratulations to Coach Pankey and our cheer squad on their second place finish yesterday at the Wilmington Competition! Today: Home games Vs. Tri-Point!
PJ Day: TOMORROW (Nov. 25) you can wear PJ’s if you donate $1 to the Student Council. The money taken in from this activity will be donated to our local food pantry. Making a donation to the food pantry OR attending a home basketball game also count for one of the 2Q Raider Recipe goals!

Fact of the Day: Did you know that Philadelphia is home to the oldest Thanksgiving Day Parade? That’s right…Macy’s was not the first. The Gimble Brothers department store hosted the first Thanksgiving Day Parade in 1920. Macy’s would learn from the idea and host their own in 1924. Both parades still run to this day. Also, did you know that only male turkeys gobble?
