Boys’ Basketball :    Both the 7th and 8th grade teams lost to Prairie Central last night in Gilman.    Tonight:   7th & 8th Grade combined practice from 3:30-5:00 pm.

Volleyball:   Open gyms and try-outs will be starting up soon.   Today at lunch, players need to pick up a handout with instructions about how to join Remind (if you didn’t already grab one yesterday)

Girls’ Basketball:   The Lady Raiders defeated Hoopeston Area last night to advance to tonight’s Regional Semi-Final game against Nash.    The game is at 6:45 pm!    All Fans:  There is a $5 admission fee for all tournament games.  IW PASSES ARE NOT ACCEPTED FOR TOURNEYS!   Come out and support the girls tonight! 

Christmas Concert:  The concert is coming up on Tuesday December 9th at 7pm at IWMS. The middle schoolers are to be here at 6:30pm. Their attire is white top, black pants, black shoes and if their shoes need socks, then black socks. Break a leg!!!

And in Iceland, children leave shoes under the window for 13 mischievous trolls called the Yule Lads. Fact of the Day:   Do you care that the image we picture in our heads of Santa Clause has been influenced by one product…Coca Cola.  In 1931, Haddon Sundblom developed an ad for Coke that ran in the Saturday Evening Post.  Previously, Santa was a slender figure decked out in green.  Thanks to Coca Cola, we now have a plumber, jollier, and decked in red Santa Claus.

Food Pantry/PJ’s:   Thank you to OVER 80 students (and a few teachers) for donating $1 to wear PJ’s on the Tuesday before break.  The Student Council will donate this money to our local food pantry to help those in need!  It was a great turnout for a great cause!
