Congratulations to Coach Johnson, Coach Pankey, Coach Woods and our entire 8th Grade Team on winning the Iroquois County Championship last night 35-34 in OT! It is the sixth 8th grade County Championship in IWMS history and the latest was 2024. Our cheerleaders and sixth and seventh grade players did a great job of being our SIXTH MAN last night. Great energy and enthusiasm Raiders!
Boys’ Basketball: Congratulations to Coach Johnson, Coach Pankey, Coach Woods and our entire 8th Grade Team on winning the Iroquois County Championship last night 35-34 in OT! Teagan Read hit a game winning 3 point shot as time expired and our fans went crazy! It is the sixth 8th grade County Championship in IWMS history and the last one occurred in 2024. Our cheerleaders and sixth and seventh grade players did a great job of being our SIXTH MAN last night. Great energy and enthusiasm Raiders!
Today: 7th Grade: Practice from 3:30-5:00 pm today. 8th Grade: OFF Saturday: 7th Grade Regional at Hoopeston. Game Time: 11:15 am. Bus Time: 9:45 am.
Girls’ Volleyball: The 7th grade lost in two sets, while the 8th grade won in three. Today: NO PRACTICES
Cheerleading: Today: No Practice Saturday: 7th Grade Regional Game at Hoopeston.
Scholastic Bowl: No Practice Today.
Eligibility 3Q: Just a reminder that athletic eligibility will be checked TODAY at the end of the day using only your 3Q grades! Make sure any late or make-up work is turned in ASAP!
Club 40: Please turn in permission slips and bring your money to the office by Jan. 22 if you plan to attend. The bowling trip and pizza party will be on Friday January 23.
After-school Art Club: 8th grade Art Club will continue Tuesday January 20! 3:30-4:30 pm with Mrs. Sattler!

Good Luck Boys! Our 7th Graders will have an optional film session until 4:30 and then attend the 8th grade game if you are able to!

Boys’ Basketball: Congrats to our 8th grade team on a thrilling DOUBLE OT victory over Nash last night in the County Tournament Semifinals! The team now advances to Thursday’s championship Vs. Watseka at 6:00 pm!!!
TONIGHT: 7th Grade County Tournament Game at Nash Vs. Watseka. Game Time: 5:30. Bus Time: 4:30 Both the 7th and 8th grade teams will watch film after school until 4:30 pm, when the bus leaves.

Club 40 Permission Slips: Students who qualified for the Club 40 trip received a permission slip at lunch yesterday! You must get the permission slip signed and bring your money to the office ASAP if you plan to attend.
National Hat Day: TOMORROW (THURSDAY) is National Hat Day! You may donate $1 to our Student Council to break the dress code and wear a hat at school. (This, along with attending a GVB game, would also count for a 3Q Raider Recipe qualification). The money collected will support a SC project/cause!

Congrats to our cheer team for qualifiying to ICCA State in 2026! Great job! The team finished in 16th place out of 21 teams.
