Congrats to all 14 of our 8th grade volleyball players! You have represented IWMS well and we look forward to watching you in HS!
Track: Congratulations to our 8th Grade Boys, Coach Boyd, & Coach Emerson for winning 1st Place at last night’s Iroquois County Meet. The 7th Grade Boys finished in 2nd place! Officially, Karinne & Jalisa took 4th place in the 8th grade Girl’s event, beating two teams by themselves. Today: Practice from 3:30-5:00 pm at Nexus!
Spring Concert: If you are looking for some evening entertainment, the UES/MS Spring Concert is this evening. Both Band & Chorus will be performing tonight. Call time is 6:15 for all performers and the concert start time will be 7PM. Break a LEG!!!

Congratulations to Jalisa Medina who is the new IWMS 7th grade girls long jump record holder!
Jalisa jumped 15'9" on April 16 at the Nash Rocket Relays to set the mark. Vivien Griffin previously held the record at 15' 5" from the 2019 season!
Jalisa is going to try to beat her own record in the remaining season meets! Good Luck!
Track: We recently found out that Jalisa Medina broke the IWMS 7th Grade Girls Long Jump Record! She jumped 15’ 9” at the Nash Rocket Relay event back on April 16. The previous record holder was Vivien Griffin who jumped 15’ 5” in 2019. CONGRATS JALISA….AND HOPEFULLY YOU WILL BREAK YOUR OWN RECORD AT THE COUNTY OR SECTIONAL TRACK MEET! Today: Practice from 3:30-5:00 at the Nexus Track.

A German U-Boat sank the RMS Lusitania. 1945: Germany unconditionally surrenders to the Allies, officially ending World War II in Europe & in 1954: The battle of Dien Bien Phu ended with a Vietnamese victory over the French, ushering in US involvement in South East Asia & eventually the Vietnam War.
